My Thanks Goes Out To...
  • First and foremost, I'd like to thank Capcom and Motomiya-Kikaku (whoever/whatever you are) for creating this amazing videogame series. I just wish Capcom would devote more of its R&D staff to making more games, and is it too much to ask for some decent action figures?

  • Secondly, I want to thank Chris Psaros, the creator of DBZ Uncensored. Back in the day, there were very, very few Dragon Ball Z sites on the web, and there was only one that even came close to informing anyone as to how far off the American version of DBZ was: Angry At American DBZ! That was little more than a rant page. Then Psaros appeared on the scene. He showed us how much we were missing, he made us laugh, he made us cry (especially during the last year of DBZ Uncensored's existence, when he rarely updated), but above all, he kept us informed. Easily my favorite Dragon Ball site on the web, I visited regularly. It was the only Dragon Ball site I could say that about. I got the layout of this site from his, if you hadn't noticed that already. I dunno, I guess I intended this site to be a kind of tribute to him. Chris, you're not forgotten, man. Missed, yeah...but not forgotten.

  • Thirdly, I'd like to thank Shadophnix (aka Lewis Smith) for keeping me sane during that one period in my life, and for being a constant source of inspiration to me in my writing, among other areas. You've had an immense impact on my life, my man. I can't think of an area of my life that hasn't been affected by stuff that's gone on since the whole HOH incident. Here's to hoping that Gunmetal Black catches fire...then maybe we'll see SSL in print after that.

  • Fourthly, I'm going to thank everyone else I can think of, in no particular order:
    • Jimi Bueno, for my banners, for actually doing a Strider site right, and for never getting ticked off, even when I bugged you about "that 9MB Zip file".
    • Samanosuke, for my frontpage logo.
    • Suzaku, for being a constant source of info.
    • John Beckwith, for being a constant source of fanart.
    • Neostrider, for making your site better than Michael Varley's.
    • Piccokuh, for letting me hijack your PS1 back in college so I could actually play my copy of Strider 2.
    • Lady Maverick81, for keeping Strider alive in manga's doujinshi underground.
    • Dire 51, for transcribing ALL of the text in Strider 2 for me.
    • The Mugen Dev Team, for putting gaming back in the hands of the people who respect it the most.
    • ...and everyone who bought a copy of Strider 2 and kept it...that's the only thing that will keep this series going. Money talks louder than anything else.

  • Lastly, I want to extend absolute zero thanks to the Strider Army. You've been on the web at least as long as Michael Varley (and time was when he and Neostrider were the only ones around), but you have done nothing to promote Strider on the web. Everything you've done has been done better by other people. You never had anything original to offer. No fanart gallery, no fanfiction, no exclusive news, nothing. You need to get it together and establish yourself as a force to be reckoned with before you start handing out awards, otherwise the awards mean nothing.
