Dossier: Hiryu in Other Games

YEAR: 1992

HARDWARE: CPS-1

DEVELOPER: Capcom

PUBLISHER: Capcom

DEBUT PRICE: ??

This is a quiz game. You wander around and answer trivia questions about Capcom games and encounter characters from those games.

Can you feel my enthusiasm?

...anyway, Hiryu made an appearance in this game as well. It was never made into a home version, thank God. About the only conceivable use for this game is the cool-looking screencap of Hiryu shown below.

YEAR: 1998

HARDWARE: Neo-Geo Pocket

DEVELOPER: SNK Corporation

PUBLISHER: SNK of America

DEBUT PRICE: ??

SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter's Clash is sort of like Yu-Gi-Oh. You wander around until you meet someone you're supposed to fight. Then you fight each other. Using cards.

I'm told this sort of thing is popular over in Japan. Most of the early Dragon Ball games were done in this style.

Thank Jeremy Dewald for providing these screencaps. I wouldn't have gone to the trouble; I hate this kind of game.

YEAR: 1999

HARDWARE: Neo-Geo Pocket

DEVELOPER: SNK Corporation

PUBLISHER: SNK of America

Yes, they made a sequel to Card Fighter's Clash. Amazing, isn't it? At least they had the good sense to not let this one out of Japan.

More of the gang show up in this one; check below to see for yourself.

Again, thank Jeremy Dewald for providing these. I still hate this type of game.

YEAR: 2007

HARDWARE: Nintendo DS

DEVELOPER: SNK Playmore

PUBLISHER: SNK Playmore

DEBUT PRICE: ??

Not only did they make one sequel to Card Fighter's Clash, they made two. This one actually saw an American release, unlike its immediate predecessor.

Once again, thank Jeremy Dewald for providing these. Without him, three-fourths of this page wouldn't exist.
